Tony B. Griffin
Tony B. Griffin has exclusively practiced labor and employment law across the United States for 42 years, always headquartered in the Tampa, FL area. He has both private and public sector clients in labor and employment law, and is also responsible for recruiting lateral Partners and Associates for Pennington’s Tampa office.
Tony has handled most types of labor and employment matters, including union representation and union-organizing campaigns; unfair labor practice proceedings and strikes; collective bargaining negotiations and arbitrations; employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation issues; employment and executive contracts, including non-compete agreements; wage and hour investigations, including court actions, compliance, and internal audits; employment policies and training; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance; administrative and court proceedings; layoffs and plant closings; separation agreements and releases; and civil mediation and arbitration. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Industrial Relations and Labor Law at the University of South Florida College of Business.
Tony has been a Board Certified Specialist by the Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law since 2001, the first year the certification was available. He is also a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court as well as by the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and regularly conducts mediations and arbitrations proceedings.

Tony received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Honors from the University of West Georgia economics. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.
