Julius J. Zschau
Mr. Zschau's practice focuses on real property law with an emphasis on condominium and planned developments, corporation and business law.
Over his career Mr. Zschau has been involved in various American College of Real Estate Lawyers, American Bar Association and Florida Bar committees and organizations including his past service as chair of the Common Interest Communities Committee of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; Chair of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar; Chair of the American Bar Association Land Trust Committee; Group Chair of the ABA Condominium and Planned Unit Development Committee Group; Co-Chair of the ABA's Task Force on Property Preservation and Group Chair of the Hospitality, Community Recreation, and Common Interest Developments Group; president of the Clearwater Bar Association; president of The Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents; and he is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Zschau’s other past service includes chairman of the Board of Directors of Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. of Florida; member of the Board of Directors of Attorney's Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. of Denver, Colorado; member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of Rotary; and legal counsel to the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Zschau has an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system, which represents the highest level of professional excellence for ethical standards and legal ability. He is also listed in Who's Who in America, has been named Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, and is listed in Law and Politics Magazine as Super Lawyer.
Mr. Zschau served in the Naval Reserve for thirty years attaining the rank of Captain, and served as National Vice President for Legal Affairs of the Naval Reserve Association. In addition he has served as a member and Chair of the 2nd District Court of Appeals Judicial Selection Committee and a member and Chair of the 6th Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee.
Mr. Zschau received his Bachelor of Science and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois and his LLM from The John Marshall Law School.
