Gerald S. Livingston
Gerald (Jerry) Livingston's practice focuses on Association Law, Administrative Law, Commercial Litigation, Eminent Domain, Property Rights, and Insurance Law. Jerry received both his Bachelor of Science Degree and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Phi and Florida Blue Key.
Jerry began his career in the private practice of law in 1969. Over the years, he has been actively involved in the representation of a wide variety of industries, including the outdoor advertising industry, the self-insurance fund industry, and the hotel and lodging industry, as well as a number of state associations and governmental agencies. Jerry has served as General Counsel of the Florida Outdoor Advertising Association for over 40 years, and for a period of time in the 1990s served as General Counsel for the Florida Restaurant Association. Throughout his career, Jerry has represented, and assisted in the formation of, a number of self-insurance funds, and currently serves as General Counsel to several self-insurance funds in Florida.
During the mid-1990s, Jerry served as a Board Member of the Florida Workers' Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association. In the mid-1980s, Jerry served as special insurance counsel to the Florida Hotel & Motel Association, Inc., and, for 20 years served as General Counsel to the Association. Further, Jerry has served as General Counsel to the East Central Florida Regional Planning Counsel since 1971.
Jerry is a member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar (Administrative Law Section, City County and Local Government Section, Environmental & Land Use Law Section, and Workers' Compensation Section), the Orange County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeal, 11th Circuit.
Jerry enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends in the mountains of North Carolina.
