E. Murray Moore, Jr.

Murray Moore primarily represents and advises health care providers and nonprofit entities. He serves as General Counsel to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc., which is a 772-bed hospital and health system.  Murray advises TMH and other health care providers (including but not limited to physicians, nurses, physician extenders, clinics, ambulatory surgical centers and hospitals) with regard to a myriad of state and federal health law and regulatory issues. He also enjoys providing advice and representation to other nonprofit organizations and continues to draw on his early background in real estate and transactional matters.  Prior to joining Pennington in 1995, Murray  practiced as an Assistant State Attorney in Duval and Clay Counties. 

A native of Tallahassee, Murray graduated from Maclay School in 1983. He graduated with a B.A. (Economics and Spanish) from Vanderbilt University and then returned home to graduate from The Florida State University College of Law, with honors. Murray has enjoyed giving back to the community through service to the Legal Aid Foundation of the Tallahassee Bar Association, Trinity United Methodist Church, Maclay School, Leadership Tallahassee and Goodwood Museum and Gardens.

Murray is a member of the Tallahassee Bar Association, the Florida Bar Health Law Section and American Health Lawyers’ Association. He has an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rating system, which represents the highest level of professional excellence for ethical standards and legal ability, and has been named Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine
