Pennington, P.A. is pleased to announce its Tampa office expansion with the addition of Tony B. Griffin and Andrew Leggette. Tony joins the firm as a Partner and a Board Certified Specialist in Labor & Employment Law with over 42 years of experience. He is a Florida Supreme Court and Federal Middle District Court certified civil mediator, and also serves as an arbitrator handling employment and labor matters.   

Tony has handled most types of labor and employment matters, including union representation and union-organizing campaigns; unfair labor practice proceedings and strikes; collective bargaining negotiations and arbitrations; employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation issues; employment and executive contracts, including non-compete agreements; wage and hour investigations, including court actions, compliance, and internal audits; employment policies and training; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance; administrative and court proceedings; layoffs and plant closings; separation agreements and releases; and civil mediation and arbitration. Tony will also spearhead recruiting efforts seeking lateral Partner and Associate level attorneys in all practice areas.  

Andrew Leggette joins Pennington’s Insurance Defense team as an Associate Attorney where he will concentrate his practice on automobile negligence matters, property damage and premises liability. Andrew graduated cum laude from the Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Political Science and History. Andrew then attended the Stetson University College of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2013. While at Stetson, Andrew served as a Teaching Assistant for Professor Joan Bohl and interned with the National Labor Relations Board in Tampa, Florida. While at Stetson, he was awarded the Book Award in Labor Law, which was created to honor scholastic achievement in legal education.

Prior to joining Pennington P.A., Andrew spent several years working in the insurance defense groups of two large firms in their West-Central Florida offices. Andrew is also a member of the Florida Bar-Young Lawyers division.

In addition, Shareholder Stacy Yates, who also practices in Pennington’s Tampa office, has recently been certified as a Florida Supreme Court circuit civil mediator handling all circuit civil matters including personal injury, insurance coverage disputes and premises liability matters.
