On June 2, 2017, Michael J. Thomas and Chad B. Hess, Shareholders in the Tallahassee, Florida, office of Pennington, P.A., obtained a defense verdict in a complex surgical-medical malpractice case, following a week-long jury trial in Chip Ward v. Charles H. Wingo, M.D., et. al., in the Second Judicial Circuit, in and for Leon County, Florida.

Once again, Pennington goes Pink!

Pennington, P.A. proudly goes pink as employees throughout the firm wear their pink “Pennington, P.A.” T-shirts in this group photo to kick off October -  Breast Cancer Awareness month.     In the past, Pennington has supported related causes aimed at improving lives affected by breast cancer including Make Strides Against Breast Cancer, a component of the America Cancer Society.  This year, Pennington will be donating to the Joanna Francis Living Well Foundation a local foundation rooted in the desire to help patients and families benefit from financial relief for social services in the Tallahassee area.   The purpose of the foundation is to provide opportunities of support and financial assistance for unforeseen living expenses while living with terminal breast cancer.

Tampa Office Shines Bright!

Pennington P.A. Partner Cindy Dennen was recently a featured panel member at the 2017 Bankers Insurance Group Litigation Conference in Miami, Florida.  Cindy co-presented and served as Facilitator for a panel entitled:  “ADA/FHA and Copyright Cases:  Statutory Damages”.    Cindy is a civil trial lawyer in Pennington’s Tampa office and has 27 years of experience resolving complex, and often unusual, third-party liability claims and coverage disputes.  Cindy works in Pennington’s Tampa, Florida office and is a member of Pennington’s Insurance Defense and Products Liability & Toxic Torts practice groups.  Pennington is also designated as national panel counsel for Bankers Insurance Group.

Gene Adams recently reappointed to the FL Bar’s Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee

Howard E. “Gene” Adams has recently been reappointed to the Governmental and Public Policy Advocacy Committee of the Florida Bar by President Michael J. Higer.  This standing committee of the Bar seeks to promote professionalism among lawyer lobbyists and provide appropriate legal education on matters of interest for lawyer lobbyists.  The Committee is currently seeking to expand offerings of continuing education for lawyer lobbyists and to expand local government participation in the committee.  Adams will also serve as liaison to the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar for the Committee.
